Studio Visit

Maiko showed us around her studio and some other artist's.

This is mainly ceramic studio.

The visit broadened my mind about the quality and shape of clay. It's not just a simple pinch of the hand and lathe machine, but also can combine with other shaping way such as use cake piping bag.

There are so many new ways to shape depending on type and the amount of water in clay. Also varieties of ways for us to shape , we can't just be limited by the two simplest ways, we can develop more interesting ways and shapes.
